E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} Hop. V5010 BY8/G.17.10.27. 20 HP. CHASSIS - CRANKSHAFT. We are having to order material for a further series of 20 HP. chassis during the next fortnight. In order to be able to issue instructions satisfactorily I would like to have a blueprint of the proposed improved crankshaft for the 20 HP. chassis, as this would represent one of the biggest improvements likely to be arrived at, and could be brought in with the next series. The main thing we wish to settle is the form of the rear end. We sent scheme 961 to you a fortnight or so ago. Possibly by now you could fix up the dimensions sufficiently definite to enable us to alter the dies, and order the crankshafts for the new series suitable for either type of crankshaft, but of course the one we are trying for is the new type.
