X.7770. ---------------------------- With reference to Da{Bernard Day - Chassis Design}/Evl/M.26.6.30., we give below our reply to the various points which affect this Dept. :- (10) We are asking the Works to try and produce louvred bonnets from a harder material. They are, however, unable to make louvred bonnets from the hard material which we use for plain bonnets, as it is very difficult indeed to prevent hard material cracking at each end of the louvres, as the operation of forming the double type of louvre is a very severe one. | ||
