| X3857 Exptl. Dept. HS{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Les.19/KW. 11th June, 1934. Messrs. Jonas Woodhead & Sons Ltd., Kirkstall Road, LEEDS. Dear Sirs, We are contemplating fitting some road springs with rebound leaves to one of our chassis. This is in order to check the axle fairly violently after a certain rebound movement. The springs which we were going to use for this experiment were the special lightened type springs, which you supplied some months ago for the rear of the Bentley. We should like you to send a sketch showing how you would suggest that rebound leaves could best be fitted to our Bentley springs. Perhaps you have a list showing various types of springs. Yours faithfully, FOR ROLLS-ROYCE LIMITED. | ||
