SKID PAN.

Attached is Gry{Shadwell Grylls}'s original recommendation with regard to the skid pan.

You will note that we did not recommend spending £4,000 on this piece of apparatus; the maximum liability we wished to incur was £500 spread over 10 years. We have never agreed that the work we could do on this would justify an outlay of £4,000.

The skid pan is used for steering tests. When a new model is being developed, tests may be run continuously for a number of weeks. The trouble at the moment is that the skid pan becomes flooded in wet weather, which is preventing us making full use of it.

EJJ. is tackling the problem to see whether matters can be improved.
