Re: Phoenix Gearbox. ----------------- Referring to Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/Gry{Shadwell Grylls}7/R.15.9/37, recommending buying a Humber gearbox fitted with cyanide hardened gears, I have discussed this matter with Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} and we agree this proposal is not necessary, as in view of further information we have, it is practically certain that cyanide hardened gears in gearboxes would not be sufficiently quiet for our chassis.
