6119. To [REDACTED] from HPS{Horace Percy Smith - Experimental Factory Mgr}/WSC.{W. S. Cassel} Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/RC.{R. Childs} HPS{Horace Percy Smith - Experimental Factory Mgr}/WSC.{W. S. Cassel}6/BA.22.3.39. We have instructed to-day under code W.81/2 1 - DW.949 Distributor Cam. This cam is a plain hexagon with a radius on the corners and as it will be required to be used very little we consider cyanide hardening will be ample. We do not require a master cam to be made or any elaborate tool equipment to produce this. This new cam will give a make and break ratio of 70/30, and is to be used in conjunction with a smaller radius on the face of the rocker block reduced from .250 to .125. This however can be arranged on the particular distributor when the test is to be made. HPS{Horace Percy Smith - Experimental Factory Mgr}/WSC.{W. S. Cassel} | ||
