Goodyear Tyre & Rubber Co.(Gt.Britain)Ltd. X3926 X3725

About a week ago I wrote this Co. asking them whether they have already made arrangements, or whether they intend to make arrangements, which will enable them to supply out of stock straight sided (wired-on) tyres, 895 x 135, and other standard sizes for straight-sided rims with removable flange.

In reply they have written, under date 11th inst. that they have asked Mr.Jones, their Birmingham manager, to call upon us and explain the whole of this straight-side situation.

At the same time they point out that a set of special straight side rims, 32" x 4 1/2", and a set of 33" x 5" Cord tyres straight side (which they say are the equivalent to 895 x 135) have already been sent to Col.Barrington for experimental purposes.

I assume that the set of rims and tyres referred to have been received and are being experimented with?

As soon as I am advised of the day that Mr.Jones will visit us, I will inform you.
