Letter to Mr. Johnson regarding a telegram from Paris which contained a clerical error, requesting clarification for the required document.

We received your wire from Paris which was transmitted to us as follows:-
"Send my copy AN S.L. L 1813"

The reference number as here stated is of course a clerical error and we immediately had the telegram repeated but we received it again in its original form. We assume that AN L probably should read SCL. and we looked up a number of letters dated the 18th of Jan. Feb. and March but we were unable to come to any decision as to which letter you required.

We shall be glad therefore if you will let us know the subject of the letter and we will despatch as early as possible. We only received the repeated telegram this morning (25th inst) and we are now awaiting a telephone call from London so that we may
