We send you herewith 2 advance blue prints of LeC.1588 and 1601.

These schemes have not yet been passed by Mr. Royce but I think it is essential to let you know what is being done here in respect to the above so that you will be able to make your arrangements with respect to what material will be affected, and when the alterations can be brought in.

LeC.1588 shews the radiator to the same dimensions as the wooden model brought to WW. but the top line of the matrix has not been altered at the moment to have sloping shoulders as suggested by Sales. This question is still in doubt.

LeC.1588 was drawn in anticipation of having a large diameter overhead water pipe with 3 connections to the cyl. head of the engine but it is very easy to move the thermostat over to the other side of the rear tank and put on a connection suitable for the existing cylinder heads. This latter has actually been shewn drawn on LeC.1601 but the dia. of the connection to the cylinder head has been increased from 1" to 1.125 in accordance with instru-ctions with which you are already familiar.

Owing to the impossibility of finding enough room for the present type of fan bracket .7" higher and also owing to the desirability of making the fan drive more reliable, Mr. Royce has decided to alter the method of carrying the fan and to replace the
