S/W ...Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/Std. c. to Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} c. to Dr. SD 340. C13/C23.3.37 Please see me GRT PHANTOM III RADIATORS. Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/Std3/AP19.3.37 ------ We note your opinion as to the causes of this overheating and that you are sending three matrices to K.{Mr Kilner} so that they may change over on cars which have suffered from silting and overheating and return the defective matrices to you untouched for examination. We also note that you do not anticipate any silting up trouble with mark VI matrices. What we are concerned about is that we understand there are 200 mark V matrices already issued and we would like to know whether we are to anticipate a number of troubles from silting owing to the smaller waterways. If we are to anticipate this, we think we ought to consider at once replacing all those on the road, so as to anticipate this trouble as far as we are able, without the cars getting into trouble. Perhaps you will consider this and let me have your further views, unless you feel you want to wait until you get some of the defective ones back for examination first. C. | ||
