SUGGESTED IMPROVEMENT FOR DISMANTLING OF
SPRING DRIVE.

On the original Ph.lll experimental engines, the diameter of the slipper wheel was smaller than the present standard wheel and it was possible to withdraw this without interfering with the lower half.

Although the slipper wheel diameter was increased, no provision was made to the lower half jointing in order that the wheel may be withdrawn and consequently, to carry this out it is necessary to drop the lower half a small amount.

The suggestion is that the wheelcase be fastened in a similar way to the crankcase and lower half as carried out on the Bentley and 25/30.
