Low oil pressure and oil filler leakage issues across several 4 1/4 litre chassis.

Draper - Frames} CHASSIS B.8.GA - Has an extra hole drilled in the main journals of the crankshaft plus wider grooves in the intermediate bearings, when the engine is hot the oil pressure drops to 22 lbs. however when the car has been driven at high speed for about 100 kms. the oil pressure drops to 17 lbs. This car is fitted with a large capacity oil pump. B.106.HK{Col. T. Harker - Sales} - 12726 Kms.- Oil pressure dropped to 10 Lbs. Fitted a large capacity oil pump. Now OK. B.107.GP & 13321 Kms.- Owner complained that oil pressure dropped to 17 lbs. after a long fast run. Owner informed us a few days ago that oil pressure has for some reason or other improved. We are going to fit a large capacity oil pump as soon as we receive some more pumps from Works. B.102.HK{Col. T. Harker - Sales} - 10021 Kms.- Oil pressure dropped to about 16 lbs. after fast run of about 6 Kms. & when engine was in a hot condition. Fitted a large capacity oil pump. We did not have time to make our usual road test after the fitting of the large pump. B. 26.JD{J. Draper - Frames} - New car - Oil pressure drops to 16 lbs. when engine is hot and after a short fast run. This car is fitted with a large oil pump.- We have sent full report to the Experimental Dept. concerning the engine oil pressure on 4 1/4 litre cars. We are going to fit large capacity oil pumps to 4 1/4 litre cars in France as soon as we are in receipt of the material. --------------------------------------- 28.
