Dear Nicholls,

re HEATERS.

As you know, we have developed a heater ourselves. We have decided, with the exception of a couple of cars which will be fitted up with this heater, to run your Smith "Hades" heater on the remainder, if you can supply sufficient up-to-date samples. We shall require five.

You will remember that the two main complaints we had against your heater were that the motor did not remain quiet and the air delivery was not quite sufficient.

We feel, however, that if we run five of these throughout the winter we may get a fair picture of how good the heater is.

We are not, of course, referring to the fresh air unit.

We should be glad if you could supply us with a general arrangement drawing of the Hades type heater.

Yours sincerely,
