XL4118 PN. {Mr Northey} 1/WTL.10.28. 1/S S/W. {Sales / Derby Works} Wor. {Arthur Wormald - General Works Manager} ..from PN. {Mr Northey} Copy to Hs. {Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} Sg. {Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD} OMB. Mt. Sidney of Hampstead who has long been an enthusiastic owner of Rolls-Royce cars when writing recently a most appreciative letter in respect of two new 20 H.P. Rolls-Royce cars he had bought, said there were two small details which were the cause of considerable irritation to him as an owner-driver. 1. Was that the arrangement for emptying the oil from the crank case now entailed the use of a split-pin and nut which were highly inconvenient - and - 2. The petrol tank cap was in no way attached as previously, to the tank, and he found that there was a distinct tendency to omit to fit the cap on to the tank after filling up with petrol. I promised to let him know whether we had any sound reason for making these changes from the previous type. Will you please let me have your remarks. PN. {Mr Northey} [signature] | ||
