BY.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} from DA.{Bernard Day - Chassis Design} C. to BJ. Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} 47030 DA{Bernard Day - Chassis Design}2/M21.6.28. FRONT AXLE CONTROL - BALL JOINT X.7420 ON CONN: ROD. X.7030 X.2740 It will be remembered that Exp: Dept: have asked for an adjustment on the ball end to enable them to obtain the correct lean, and deal with the variations in the parts without playing about with the packing washers of the bottom conn. rod brgs. Herewith Ns.{Norman Scott}ch.2590 shewing what is proposed. It will be seen that in addition to the adjustment a spring load has been provided. This end will be used on 'SS{S. Smith}' control, but we suggest that it should be tested at once on a std. control. DA.{Bernard Day - Chassis Design} | ||
