| To. RM{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/IMW.{Ivan M. Waller - Head of Chateauroux} We have received your letter RM{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/IMW{Ivan M. Waller - Head of Chateauroux}/16/WH in 2.39 & confirmation of your Telegram for which many thanks. We have already obtained the remainder of the Dunlop 4 ply tyres from Paris & will return them when worn out. We note your remarks regarding the two new arms fully ballanced on wheels ready to fit. We have repouted the loss of oil from the front of the gear box today & there is only a slight improvement probably due to the nuts & lay shaft oil leaks being cured. In view of the Telegram we shall await instructions to fit the new oil seal, which has already arrived together with the new clutch plate & servo drive. The present servo drive is cracked right across one rivet, but we do not think it will come adrift; but should the box have to be dismantled for the front oil seal it would not take long to examine same. We note your remarks regarding the V.G.90. brake linings. The Pilote tyres have now arrived & we have fitted one up to try for clearance of the steering arms. These wheels have a deeper recess & a shallower countersink for the nuts than our present wheels thus looking Conta | ||
