(8) Although in the specification we call for the Ford type ventilating windows to be fitted to the front door, we now agree with yourselves that it appears to be impossible to use this type of ventilating window without very considerably increasing the thickness of the pillar on the hinge face of the door. We suggest, therefore, that we should use the quick the ventilating window of the latest pattern which we believe has no vertical bar on the window, but the glasses come together on a bevelled edge.
