x 7/1 BY.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} From Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rn.{Mr Robinson} Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rn.{Mr Robinson}1/WJ.11.2.30. With reference to Mr. Bailey's letter, we have run the brake linings you submitted to us for a number of miles and on the whole they have proved very satisfactory. The trouble is that if we are to test the brake lining thoroughly, we have to run it on all our cars for a very long time to get any sort of average result. We think it would be worth while talking to Mr. Bailey about moulded linings as the Ferobestos we are at present using does not give quite the life we should wish.
