Minutes of a Meeting held at Clan Exptl: on Saturday May 24th. to consider the most up to date specification of the Silver Ripplet. The following notes are modifications to issue number 3 of the Ripplet.specification dated 2.3.40. BRIEF SPECIFICATION. Engine. No change except for water pump with modernised gland and bearing. PL.246. Gearbox. Side lever. Senior Rationalised Gearbox with side lever control. Rear Axle. X 1.531. JFH .650 Hypoid, 1 5/8 shafts, semi floating 10/41 ratio with strengthened centre casing. Latest axle modifications. Welded on spring seats. Prop. Shaft. Split prop. shaft with small joints and revised centre bearing. Sliding joint on end of gearbox. Heavy flywheel and 10" clutch. Otherwise no further change in this section. Frame. Frame in .080 material and front pan .080. Revised front track and Buick pivots. Rear springs Woodhead Toledo.
