Dear Sirs,

Tyre Pressures.

Referring to the writer's call and interview on the 8th inst., and our discussion in connection with the test you have been carrying out with our Cord Straight Side Tyres at lower pressures than our present schedule for loads and pressures.

We have gone very fully into the whole question and are pleased to inform you that we have now decided to issue a revised table of modified pressures for given loads for our Cord Tyres, and we are sure this will meet with your requirements as the following scale will show:-

Total weight per Pressure per
axle including sq. inch.
passengers.

Cord 4½". 16 cwt. 45 lbs.
20 cwt. 50 lbs.
23 cwt. 60 lbs.

Cord 5". 21 cwt. 45 lbs.
25 cwt. 50 lbs.
29 cwt. 60 lbs.

As soon as our revised table is printed we will let you have copies of the complete table of loads and pressures.

As regards the markings of loads and pressures on Cord Tyres, which you refer to in your letter of the 22nd inst., the additional moulds that are coming through will not have this marking, and at the earliest opportunity we shall arrange to remove these markings from our present moulds.

We are,
Yours faithfully,
FOR THE DUNLOP RUBBER CO. LTD. S.H.Blake.
