CONFIDENTIAL.

O.T. Jones, Esq.,
Vacuum Oil Company Limited,
Caxton House,
Westminster, S.W.1.

Dear Mr. Jones,

You will remember a discussion regarding the period which should elapse between oil changes. Opinions were expressed in a paper published in the S.A.E. Journal to the effect that oil changes should be frequent.

I attach herewith a report which may interest you. We have, of course, in this particular test only covered one type of running, but neither the Laboratory nor the condition of the engine indicates that any disadvantage has accrued from not changing the oil for 30,000 miles.

I should be glad if you would treat the report as confidential, in the meantime, we are continuing the run under London traffic conditions.

Yours sincerely,
