| x261 sp.{Mr Spinney} sec. To Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} from Sg.{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD} re Raymond Mays. Sg{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD}1/El.9.36 You will remember correspondence earlier in the year about his brakes. We were hoping at that date to be able to give him aluminium drums so as to get over his brake fading trouble. I enclose extract from letter received from him. He talks further on in the letter about sending it to the Service Station in London but I rather feel that this is a waste of time and that Derby ought to have it. Would you please speak to me about it at Derby from the point of view of what we can do. As previously mentioned he would be quite happy with something that is known to be experimental and it would be quite a good way of getting anything new in the brake line thoroughly tested in the hands of a private owner.
