Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Lid{A. J. Lidsey}9/KT16.6.33 We thank you for particulars of the Bentley bodywork enclosed. We are rather surprised, however, that you think we could allow the Coachbuilders to increase the maximum bodywork up to 9 cwt. 1 qr. giving them a leeway of 3/4 cwt. over your heaviest body. We propose fixing the limit at the weight of the heaviest experimental, viz. 8 1/2 cwt. No doubt on a few occasions we shall not succeed, but we propose starting this with all chassis, and doing all we can to keep down to it. C. | ||
