GEARBOX CHUNKING Complaints of chunking on the indirect gears can be considerably reduced by fitting the new stay between the gearbox and the engine instead of the normal stay between the gearbox and the cross. This modification will become standard on chassis 51 in 'C' Series. When fitting this stay, it is necessary also to fit a new engine-to-frame stay of thicker section. The N.Sch. number of this arrangement is 5072. Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/Gry.{Shadwell Grylls} | ||
