- 3 - Furthermore in any system, hand or automatic, if there is at any point a demand for periodical discharges of large quantities of oil (as perhaps for road spring lubrication) an "accumulator" can be mounted near the road spring and can be filled gradually from the main system, and will discharge itself when full (perhaps once a week) into the road springs. This struck me as an interesting idea though Bijur doubted whether it would be needed. It avoids the drop in pressure in the line due to big drip plugs near the ends, need of more complicated piping to overcome this etc. We shall be trying the automatic system within six weeks and will report results to you.
