Query about a misunderstanding regarding the replacement policy for coils on 20-HP & 40/50 HP chassis.

Hallam - Head Repairs}/WW15/EW30.12.27., in view of the information given by Cricklewood and Paris I should like to know what has become of the 481 coils which we understand you have had during 1927. My reason for asking this information is that I understand that some misunderstanding has arisen in regard to the Depot sheet dealing with the replacement of coils, and I have had the Depot sheet in question looked up, and find as I had anticipated, that the old type coils were only to be replaced in cases of failures. If the Depots are replacing the old type coils as they become available and charging to A.T.D. then I consider this to be absolutely wrong. It is upon this point that I require further information.
