Eric Platford - Chief Quality Engineer} 4/116.8.22. compared with thick leaf springs, and America contend that if the slack in the drive is eliminated (to avoid chunking) and the tyres not pumped up too hard, that only a slight extra friction than that given by the present thin leaf springs is required.
