compared with thick leaf springs, and America contend that if the slack in the drive is eliminated (to avoid chunking) and the tyres not pumped up too hard, that only a slight extra friction than that given by the present thin leaf springs is required.
They also point out that the pre-war thin leaf springs are more effective than the present springs, as comparatively more leaves were used.
