AUTOMATIC SWITCH.

SEQUENCE SILENT STARTER.

I have received from EFC. a revised table of gaps for this switch and they do not agree with the gaps shewn on the arrangement drawing D.71096 but it is a simple matter to adjust the switch to them, the first one having already been altered.

(1) MAIN SWITCH UNIT.
Bend tabs on D.70646 stop a little lower to adjust the off position.

(2) RELAY UNIT.
Slightly reduce lengths of D.70668 - Pedestals to adjust the off position.

The gaps to be to the following table:-

SWITCH UNIT.

Position. | Gap between pole core and armature stop. | Copper gap. | Carbon gap.
--- | --- | --- | ---
Off. | .057" ±5 | .065 ±5 | .062 ±10
Carbons just making. | .032" ±5 | .020+10 -5 | 0
Coppers in contact. | .020" | 0 | 0
