I have seen your Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/Gry{Shadwell Grylls}1/R8.11/37, but as no mention is made of the following points we should like to be given the answers where possible to those which were left open in the Minutes of the last Meeting :-

Phantom III

Item 2. Oil Consumption (Page 1) - clarification of what is being standardised in this respect in view of your reference to increased waterways in the 4-port head.

Item 7. Bearings (Page 2) - RHC{R. H. Coverley - Production Engineer} was to report on introducing these in production (a) without scrap and (b) if scrap is sanctioned.

Item 8. Oil Coolers(page 2) ? whether these can yet be deleted.

Item 12. Synchro-mesh Mechanism, (Page3) - will you be able to tell us about modification to improve this.

X Item 13. Brakes (page 3)- decision (if any) regarding employment of light alloy drums as compared with cast iron drums.

X Item 15. Suspension (Page 4)-difference in cost between present system and Gordon Armstrong

X Item 16. Exhaust (Page 4)
