X4040 17.4.28. Further notes on Auto Switch and Green lamp switch:- X4005 (1) If green lamp scheme operating coil negative is to remain on earth, and R.{Sir Henry Royce} still desires armature contact of charging switch to be made on first position, then unless we connect both positives (green lamp switch shunt coil and cutout shunt coil) to C, instead of both to B, green lamp will remain on when charging switch is put off. We think that they should both be connected to C, in which case R's suggestion can be done if necessary and convenient. (2) In our opinion the auto charge control switch is a good deal less complicated than the green lamp scheme because this latter requires an additional switch with indicating plate and additional lamp unit. (3) Up-to-date diagram of auto charge control switch and green lamp operating switch, also of distribution board and auto switch, or alternatively distribution box and cutout and green lamp switch might be sent to R.{Sir Henry Royce} This will contain the final decisions as regards the winding directions, polarities, etc. | ||
