Y4612. WOR.{Arthur Wormald - General Works Manager} (struck through) c. Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} BY10/G.27.11.30. I give below copy of a wire I have received from R :- "STOP ALL BRAKE DRUMS PENDING INCREASED STIFFNESS". I have interpreted this to mean that we are to go slow so as not to get ahead of actual requirements. Apparently R.{Sir Henry Royce} intends to increase the thickness of the drums. RECEIVED BY.{R.W.
