(6) Clutch Unsatisfactory. This was considered to be definitely improved and to be passable in its present condition, excepting the clutch stop, which might, with advantage, be made rather more effective.

At times the accelerator pedal became extraordinarily light, and this was found to be due to the butterfly valve in the exhaust sticking up and so relieving the accelerator gear of its load. This valve evidently requires some attention as it is most irritating to have a variable load on the accelerator pedal, apart from the fact that the heating of the carburetter must be very variable in these conditions.

The general performance and behaviour of the car were considered remarkably good, whilst the silence and smoothness of running were excellent.

Noises and vibrations which would be particularly accentuated by the type of body fitted, our worst pattern, were absent.

I agree with this memo except that I do not think that the steering was unduly stiff even when turned fully

Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} I agree with CWB but thought the engine rather noisier standing at slow speeds than previously. H 10/3
