- 2 - Summarising therefore the result, I would un-hesitatingly accept the type of gearbox with overdrive as fitted to 32-EX with this ratio in preference to the present standard. Regarding the other features of 32-EX, I thought the light clutch pedal pressure was very pleasing and very desirable. The clutch itself, although giving a suspicion of judder when starting from rest on second gear, never gave more than a suspicion under any condition. On first gear it was quite smooth, and it could be made smooth starting from rest on second and third. Therefore, I thought on the whole the clutch was an improvement. The brakes were infinitely superior to those of the London Trials Car. The front suspension was definitely worse, being harsh and rough by comparison with 3-AZ-38. This I under-stand was due mostly to friction introduced into certain of the suspension joints, but the result was far below our present standard. I should not have known the engine was fitted with ordinary by adjustable tappets. Cx.{Major Len W. Cox - Advertising Manager} | ||
