To By.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} X1113 Cricklewood, August, 31st, 1936. Complaint of Thermometer Gauge Tube Breaking - 25 HP. You asked me to obtain the position when these tubes broke. It appears that the breakage is not consistent. The old type broke at the end of the bulb. Others have got behind the rear cylinder (during cleaning operations fitters have broken them dismantling).
