TO RS.{Sir Henry Royce's Secretary}) FROM HS.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}) ORIGINAL R ENGINES, GENERAL R3/M8.7.25. SCRAPER RINGS. 12103 Col. Fell tells me that the scraper ring with a groove in the centre of the face and perforations through to the inside of the groove, with drainage holes to the inside of the ring is the best scraper ring they have tested. You will remember that I suggested testing this pattern, which I believe was sent to us by somebody in America. The ring would be slightly wider than our wide scraper ring, and it naturally would be more likely to retain its efficiency than the L. shaped ring. R.{Sir Henry Royce} | ||
