To RHC.{R. H. Coverley - Production Engineer} +354 Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Smth.14/KW. 21.1.35. SpectreCodename for Phantom III Bottom Tappet Wear. We find that whereas the loading on the SpectreCodename for Phantom III bottom tappets is much the same as on the Phantom, the rubbing velocity is 40% greater. By reducing the base circle dia. of the cams to that of the 25 HP. shaft we can bring the rubbing velocity down 30%. Will you please therefore make up a camshaft to Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}1722, using 25 HP. forms. The bottom tappets will have to be modified to Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}1723.
