As requested, we give below a brief history of the above chassis. Up to the first 20,000 miles often in K.{Mr Kilner} for minor adjustments. Report from FBS.{F. Bell-Scott} in August 1936, to the effect that engine had not been decarbonised, mileage at that time being 20,000. Oil changed every 2,000 miles. April 1937, car at Works for re-fit wheel drivers, and new washers to exhaust system, at 34,000 miles. At K.{Mr Kilner} in June 1937 at 31,900 miles(?) for engine thrust race to be changed. At Works in September 1937, at 38,000 miles, for attention to water pump. At K.{Mr Kilner} in Jan. 1938 for change of dynamo. At Works in May 1938 for attention to brakes, shock absorbers, petrol pump, and fit new wheel drivers. We also found that Owner had at some time met with an accident, and it was necessary to fit new front axle, new steering levers, and new cross steering tube. Man at Owner's address in June 1938, to cure complaint of engine starving at high speeds. Mileage 67,000. Found it necessary to drill out the dip tube as this was obstructed by foreign matter.
