With reference to your Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}10/KW3.5.34 we did not receive an Instruction Book for the Essex Terraplane. I have written the agents, asking them for a copy and will send this to you.

In regard to the Graham-Paige, I have 'phoned Mr. Cleverly again about this and he informs me that there is always a great difficulty in getting cars through the Customs; Duty has to be assessed and the Customs Authorities do not appear to be in any great hurry, and he has not yet got the Customs papers. Then they would like to go over the car to remove any scratches, etc. which it may have received in transit, but I have told him we do not wish him to bother much about this; apparently, however, they have to put on a new battery, fill up with oil and water, and generally prepare the chassis for running.

He is making a special job of this and hopes to let is have the car on Thursday of this week. I will let you know as soon as we receive it.
Sg.{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD} wants to try it before we send it up to you.
