Outstanding materials and changes to be instructed for the second half of the 40/50 HP Chassis K.2 series.

CHASSIS - K.2 SERIES MATERIAL. --------------------------------- Please note the following outstanding items for the second half of K.2 series should now be instructed similar to the first half of this series :- 1/- Crankshaft. 2/- Connecting Rods. 3/- Exhaust System. 4/- Exhaust Cutout. 5/- Pistons. 6/- Front Axle. 7/- Carburetter Suction Chamber. 8/- Bonnet Side Rest Plates. 9/- Gear Ring for Flywheel Clutch. The exhaust valves should be ordered in Firths H.R. Crown Steel, a standardisation sheet for which is in circulation. It has been decided to introduce the 'low inertia' spring drive suitable for the present standard crankshaft, therefore this should now be instructed for the second half of K.2 series along with all other parts affected thereby. The radiator matrix tubes have already been re-leased under cover of our memo BY9/G17.10.29. The rear vertical spare wheel carrier should be ordered for each chassis in this series, and it would seem that we should release a further quantity of side spare wheel carrier brackets. In regard to the luggage grids, these are only supplied when ordered by customers, and we would like to know whether the Works consider it necessary to release further material at the moment.
