Dear Sirs,

We send you herewith two single belts labelled "A" and "B", and two pairs of twin belts labelled "C" and "D", which have been run by us under conditions specified on attached sheet, and are for your inspection.

It appears from these results that two belts to Mould No.293 are capable of driving our standard fan, even at the increased speed ratio, without slip, but are not equal to driving the more effective experimental fan at the higher speed - slip then occurs, with severe stretching of the belt.

Unfortunately the test bed on which we are carrying out these tests is at present occupied on other work, so that we shall not be able to test the single belt scheme until soon after Christmas, but will acquaint you with the results as soon as we obtain them.

With regard to the question of water connections for our cars - the writer was under a misapprehension when he informed you that we had purchased petrol and oil resisting hose from your Company at Leyland - actually we obtained them from the Leyland & Birmingham Rubber Co. of Leyland.

However, we send you herewith drawings of the connections in question and would like your quotation for production quantities of these rubbers as tabulated below, in a suitable rubber to resist water up to 110°C. and a small amount of grease internally and oil and petrol externally. The ends of the rubbers need not be sealed off.-
