J.{Mr Johnson W.M.} 3. - FRONT OF CAR.

We send herewith N.sch.3413 shewing the front end of J.{Mr Johnson W.M.} 3. chassis.

BONNET. This drawing will enable you to set out the rivetless bonnet which is exactly the same as that already made for 25HP. except for slight variations in overall dimensions. The bonnet is carried over the dash 4" as standard on all cars, and has dropped sides. The wheel carrier is made to permit of this.

RADIATOR. You have already received on Lec.2947 particulars of the bottom tanks and suspension. The dimensions of the top tank are the same as 25HP. For the first car we suggest you build up a radiator of standard construction, and in the near future we will send you as an alternative a design of the same dimensions, but of loose shell construction. Both radiators will have oval shutters. A scheme to fit these to existing mechanism will follow immediately.

DASHBOARD. The design of fixing - N.sch.3414 - is sent to you today. The dash itself will follow in a few days.

FRONT APRON. This is almost identical with that you did for 25HP. and we therefore wish you to set it out.

LAMP BRACKETS. The lamp brackets and front wing stays are exactly identical with 25HP. The lamps are Lucas R.170 SEDS. Wing lamps are Lucas R.370.

WING STAYS. There are three wing stays a side. The front one is the same as 25HP. and also is the intermediate one. The rear one is shewn on N.sch.3414.

SIDE WHEEL CARRIER. The position of the wheel is given for both 18" and 19" rims. The carrier bracket is given on N.sch.3414. The plate and centre bolt are the same as 25HP.

COACHWORK PRINT. We suggest you will wish to add this information to the chassis print which you will have been building up.
