BENTLEY FRONT APRON RATTLES.

In accordance with the minutes of the last coachwork conference E.1/HP.21.5.37, it is desired to show on our coachbuilders drawings of the front apron and wings a specified clearance of .125" between the inner edge of the wing inside valance and the front apron.

There should be a similar clearance between the edge of the dumb iron cover which we supply and the front apron, and this may call for a modification to the detail of the dumb iron cover.

This is an immediate move and as a subsequent move, we are asking the Experimental Department to try harder rubber for the apron mounting so as to reduce the possibility of excessive up-and-down movement.

Would Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} kindly arrange to try harder rubbers on the apron mounting as suggested above.
