X.4384 17.10.21. "xtract from R9/G17.10.21 X 4219. STARTER MOTOR X.4384. You will notice that we gave no instructns about the pitch or angle of the threads. The drawing shews what was possibly two or four start, but not a single start. We are pleased this is now all right. You do not say if the engagement and disengagement is reasonably quiet, and it is left to the Works to get the gearing silent. Possibly a slight increase in diameter of blank for the pinion so as to make th pitch slightly greater than the wheel might make the drive more silent. R.{Sir Henry Royce} | ||
