1377. To Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} from Sg.{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD} Press Run on the Sg{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD}1/E3139 Copy to Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}By.Sr. Paulin Bentley. Referring to Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}4/R29.12.38 I have noted with interest all you say but the last paragraph rather puzzles me. I can understand the need of a test at Montlhery to find out what would be possible in the way of performance on an Autobahn but I do not understand the reference to rehearsing the circuit and with a Press man. I thought the first achievement that we were going for was on an Autobahn and it is the reference to a circuit that rather confuses me. I should not have thought it wise to take a Press man until we were satisfied as to what we could do. When we are ready and can fix a date, we want of course to arrange to send some of the English Press over as well but I gather this is not likely before January 18th. Sg.{Arthur F.
