"The Knoll", Littleover, Near Derby. 22nd. June 1928. The Royal Automobile Club, Pall Mall, London. Dear Sirs, I wish to do a steering test on my car which will approach Continental conditions i.e. a straight road permitting a high speed with a poor surface. I should be much obliged if you could tell me of any such road in the neighbourhood of Cambridge, or failing this, indicate where such a road can be found. As my car is capable of 80 m.p.h., a 2 or 3-mile unfrequented straight is almost essential. It would be of great assistance to me if you could let me have this information by Tuesday evening next. Yours faithfully, [Handwritten Annotations]: X3805 X3542 | ||
