Messrs. Rolls-Royce Ltd.
DERBY.

Dear Sirs,

We are in receipt of your letter of the 23rd ult., and regret that a detailed report on Magnetos Nos. 77696 and 81062 had not been forwarded to you earlier.

We have now tested and examined these machines and find that No. 77696 was sparking quite O.K. at high speeds, but was missing slightly at low speeds due to the platinum points being dirty and in need of lining up.

We note from your letter of the 16th October that you wish us to quote for fitting a new base plate and pole shoes, end plate and sleeve and for this and the overhauling and retesting we quote you £3. 0. 0d. nett each machine as mentioned in our letter CHK/HC.13 of the 28th October.

We shall be pleased to hear further from you regarding these two machines so that we may be able to despatch same to you without further delay.

Yours faithfully,
For North & Sons Ltd.

(Sgd) W.J. North.
