Do not be alarmed at the petrol consumption on this car. We have obtained 24 m.p.g. driving hard, on a carburetter setting which works well when the car is thoroughly warmed up, with a blanking plate. This mixture, however, is too weak for getting away from cold, and we have not yet got an automatic starting device on the engine. We have therefore reverted to a richer setting until we can develop the automatic start and under bonnet temperature control. Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} | ||
