Messrs. Gallay Ltd.,
103-108 Scrubs Lane,
LONDON, N.W.10.

Dear Sirs,

We send you herewith a report of tests which we have made on the radiator matrices and coil cooler supplied to us by yourselves.

Examination of the heat dissipation curves attached indicates that the Gallay core is not as good from a cooling standpoint as the type of core designed by the Harrison Radiator Corporation of America, and manufactured for us by Messrs. John Marston Ltd., although the Harrison people state in their letter accompanying their test figures on the Gallay core that it would be possible for the Gallay core to out-perform the Harrison core if the air outlet from under the hood were sufficiently restricted. This state of affairs does not exist on our Bentley and 25/30 HP. cars, and only to a limited extent on the Phantom III car.

To check up on the above, however, we still propose to test the Phantom III Gallay on the road.

From weight and cost points of view, the attached figures indicate that the Gallay core is inferior. As regards strength and durability we have no comparative figures, but since we have no complaints whatever of leakage or structural failing of our film type of core, we do not require any increased factor of safety.
