HS.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} FROM DA{Bernard Day - Chassis Design}/EV.{Ivan Evernden - coachwork} ORIGINAL R.H.C DA{Bernard Day - Chassis Design}/EV{Ivan Evernden - coachwork}1/M2.7.31. C. to SG.{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD} WOR.{Arthur Wormald - General Works Manager} BY.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} re. BONNET SHUTTERS X1085. Further to our EV{Ivan Evernden - coachwork}1/26.6.31., re. the above, after a discussion with SG.{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD} we would like you to radius the edge of the shutter and the plate around the hole, thus - An alternative suggestion is to actually turn the metal in, thus - This we feel would be expensive as it makes a pressing of the side panel. In the .080 material it would be difficult, and still more so with the rivetless bonnet using .104 material, or even .116".
