24.G.VI - Steering.

The above chassis was recently fitted with new yokes bored out to EX.S.82, which should give 1° castor as on 27.G.VI. From the feel of the steering on the road it appears to have appreciably more castor than 27.G.VI. We have therefore measured the angles on the two cars with the following results.

27.G.VI. O.S. -1° N.S. 0.0.
24.G.VI. O.S. +1¼° N.S. +¼°.

We are concerned about the wide variations from the designed figure of 1°. The steering of 27.G.VI is the one we wish to reproduce on all Wraith cars so that we may be wrong in calling for an angle of 1°. There certainly appears to be something wrong with the offside of 24.G.VI. In order to settle this matter it will be necessary to take accurate measurements of the angles and of the errors causing the discrepancies. Will you please do this when the cars come into the shop.
